Onnit Kettlebells

Established in 2010, ONNIT is located in Austin, Texas, and started life within the nutritional supplement industry. Since then, they’ve expanded into the fitness equipment industry and have been gaining serious traction with their superb range of kettlebells.

With most manufacturers offering the same, tired looking style of kettlebell, ONNIT went back to the drawing board. Today, they offer several different kettlebell ranges, including: Legend Kettlebells, Primal Kettlebells (Gorilla Kettlebells) and the Zombie Kettlebells. Not only are these kettlebell sets seriously fun, but the craftsman ship is like nothing else in the market. Where else can you buy a Zombie or Gorilla Kettlebells?

Cons

The Chimp Kettlebells, Orangutan Kettlebells, Gorilla Kettlebells, Howler Kettlebells,
and Big Foot Kettlebells all have the same cons:

  • They are expensive– the lighter ones are not as expensive as the other ones. But they are considerably more expensive than regular kettlebells. A like for like 72 pound kettlebell is available on sites like Amazon for as low as $150 dollars. That means the Gorilla Kettlebell would cost you an additional $20 dollars.
  • They are not for beginners– At 18 pounds, even the lightest kettlebell (Howler Kettlebell) in the Primal Bell range would be too heavy for most beginners. They still can be used in just starting out, but in these cases, the beginners must take caution and start out light.

My Verdict

In my opinion, the primal kettlebells are great for exercising especially for endurance, strength, and toning. The range has different sizes and weights for each starting and progressing exercise level. They’re all made of sturdy, chip-resistant iron, to ensure complete balance, they have been 3D scanned, and they all have an enlarged handle for an increased in gripping strength. I can’t see how these products can be improved!? With all this in mind of them being made of great quality, it may be worth spending more for these products.

Some customers would be hesitant in purchasing these kettlebells due to the costs (for customers on a tighter budget). Even though these products are the ultimate in strength and endurance training, they are expensive. Additionally, instructors for these products are expensive (most of them usually charge over $100 per hour), and these kettlebells are not for beginners. Even though the lighter kettlebells are not as expensive as the other ones, they are still considerably more expensive than regular kettlebells. Additionally, even the 18lb kettlebells are a little too heavy for many beginners.

In conclusion, if you’re looking for a unique, fun looking kettlebell that more than matches up to a standard kettlebell, then look no further than the Primal Kettlebells. There really is nothing else in the market quite like them. These kettlebells are extraordinary in design and quality to ensure the best workout possible which is a great investment. The amount of people who’ve asked about my gorilla kettlebells has been insane.

I honestly love my gorilla kettlebells!
